TURNER — SAD 52 Adult and Community Education has announced April classes.

Classes starting the week of April 4 include:

Zumba 2: Latin-rhythm-based workout that is geared toward anyone looking to have a good time while burning major calories.

Yoga for Fun, Fitness and Flexibility 2: Have fun while improving overall health, well being, strength flexibility and posture. It can also relieve muscle tension, stress, aches and pains.

Understanding Retirement and Estate Planning: Learn how to protect money from excess taxation and take advantage of laws enacted to protect tax-deferred savings.

Substitute Teacher Training: The workshop provides information about school expectations, lesson plans and assertive discipline. Persons who complete the course successfully may be enrolled as substitute teachers.

Reiki I: A hands-on method for direct healing and attunement that creates the channeling ability. A certificate will be awarded upon completion.

Hunter and Gun Safety or Bow Hunter Safety: State-approved courses that require 12 mandatory hours for certification. State law requires that anyone who has not held a previous hunting license must take a safety class.

Make Your Clothes Fit: Bring two or three projects to the two-night class and find out how to tailor them.

Automotive Basics: Tips about a vehicle that will save money and prolong the life of a car. All automotive questions welcome during the hands-on class.

Ballroom Dancing 2: It will feature the waltz, swing and foxtrot.

Babysitter Training: Designed for students age 11 to 15 interested in learning the responsibilities of babysitting infants and children. Topics will include basic care, CPR, first aid, how to handle emergencies and preventing accidents.

Guitar and Bass Lessons 2: Tailored to the student’s skill level. The class is aimed toward developing a strong musical foundation for beginners or ongoing advancement for intermediate players.

Maine Driving Dynamics: Aimed to improve a person’s defensive driving awareness and abilities. Students completing the course receive a three-point credit on their driving record.
