You’ve played in three different cities — some were much shorter stays than others. Do you feel like that has either helped or hurt in your development as a player?

I think it’s a pretty good thing. Coming to Lewiston was probably the best thing for me. When I was in Chicoutimi, I was there for two days, I really didn’t feel it was a place I was going to get to show my talent. Coming to Lewiston, I had a bunch of buddies on the team who are pretty good, and I think they’re helping me out a lot with everything.

What was your reaction when you saw you were coming here to play with guys you’d played with before, and have those initial expectations been met?

When I left Chicoutimi, this was really the only spot I wanted to come. I knew if I came here, we were a young team and I’d probably get a chance to play with (Michael) Chaput and (Stefan) Fournier, having grown up together we were pretty good together. This year there was a lot of struggle with injury, but Coach put us back together for the playoffs, hoping we’d produce.

What’s been the most challenging part of the season for you?

Finding a way to stay healthy. Coming back from a broken wrist isn’t easy. You can’t really shoot, you can’t really pass, you’re playing through pain the first three or four weeks. After that, it just kind of nagged, you know. Groin injury, knee injury, shoulder injury, it felt like I was falling apart.

With the playoffs here, do you change anything about the way you play or approach the games?

I think you’re going to see a different Bissonnette out there. I think I have to be going a little harder, you’re going to see more intensity out of me. I know I’ve got to pick that side of my game up and you may even see me throw a hit here or there.

How happy/upset, satisfied/unsatisfied are you with the season so far, and is there anything that would make it any better?

Personally, I think I had an O.K. season. I’m pretty happy. But there’s room for improvement, there always is, and I’ll reach that in the playoffs, I hope. Team-wise, I’m so proud of all the boys. Coming back from a pretty rough season last year to win 40 games is a big achievement. We’re a proud team, we’re a younger team and not expected to go far, but we’re going to be very dangerous.
