PARIS — Girl Scouts of Maine will offer a “Babysitting 101” training program for girls in grades six to eight at Oxford Hills Middle School.

The program will include getting a baby-sitting business started, playtime ideas for children of all ages, understanding the likes and dislikes of children, troubleshooting and solutions to the most common problems a baby-sitter faces and “Babysitting 101” certification.

The program will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on select Thursdays in April. The cost of the program is $5 for registered Girl Scouts and $17 for non-Girl Scouts. The cost includes a $12 Girl Scout membership fee. Membership assistance is available.

Space is limited and preregistration and payment are necessary by Thursday, March 31.
