A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Mary Elizabeth Politis was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 25, at Parish of the Holy Savior.
The Rev. Philip Tracy was the celebrant. Her brother, George Gionet, was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections during the Mass were “You Raise Me Up,” “Ave Maria,” “On Eagles’ Wings” and “Fly Like A Bird.” The Old Testament was proclaimed by her granddaughter, Cindy Bradshaw. The New Testament was proclaimed by her granddaughter, Christine McPherson. Words of reflection were shared by her son, Anthony F. Politis Jr. Gift bearers were her great-grandchildren, Jocelyn Coffin, Joshua Maillet and Erin McPherson.
Pallbearers were her nephews, Michael, Mark and Timothy Gionet and James, Daniel and Timothy Walker. A reception followed in the parish hall, served by the Daughters of Isabella. Spring interment will be in St. John Cemetery.
