RANGELEY — A Minnesota man was arrested Thursday after police stopped to investigate a complaint of someone being a vagrant in town.
Nathan W. Green, 23, of Chaska, Minn., was arrested on a charge of being a fugitive from justice, Rangeley police Chief Dennis Leahy said Friday.
A man had been hanging around town for two or three days and appeared to be homeless, he said.
Officer Jared Austin stopped to talk to Green and discovered there were warrants out for Green from Carver County, Minn., Leahy said.
The warrants were for two charges of felony forced entry, residential burglary and a misdemeanor charge of distribution of narcotics, he said. There was also a judge’s bench warrant for a failure to appear on another charge of residential burglary, Leahy said.
