RUMFORD — James T. “Jim” Jasud Sr., 55, of Hartford, died unexpectedly Sunday, march 27, at Rumford Hospital.
He was born in Rumford, Oct. 17, 1955, a son of Theodore “Ted” and Rejeanne (St. Onge) Jasud and received his education in Peru and Rumford schools.
On Aug. 2, 1986, he married Jacqueline “Jackie” Nemethy in Hartford. Jim worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years. At the time of his death, he was employed for Pratt and Sons Construction.
He was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed riding his motorcycle, snowmobiling, fishing, hunting and camping. He was a member of the United Bikers of Maine and had participated in their well-known “toy-rides.” Jim will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Jackie of Hartford; a son, James “Jim” Jasud Jr. and his wife, Tina, of Dixfield; a daughter, Danielle and her companion, Jason, of Hartford; two sisters, Cindy Brooks of Peru and Diane Palmer of Woodstock; three granddaughters, Alyzza, Kara and Coral; two grandsons, Luke and Jack.
He was predeceased by a son, Chris in 2007.
