LEWISTON — Diane K. Drinkwater, 67, of Wellman Street, Lewiston died unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, March 29.

She was born in Roxbury, Sept. 12, 1943, the daughter of George and Dorothy (Sargent) Kidder.

She was a graduate of Mexico High School, Class of 1961, and later graduated from the Gray Business School in Portland.

She worked for many years as a store clerk in various stores including Elizabeth Ann’s and also as an office manager for Act Ambulance and later for Allied Wheelchair Van service for several years.

In her younger years, she enjoyed dancing, playing cards and hosting parties for family gatherings. In her later years, she loved traveling, gambling and playing games on her computer.

She is survived by her husband, Charles “Chuck” Drinkwater, whom she married on Jan. 26, 1968; her mother, Dorothy Kidder of Lewiston; her sons, Eric, Scott and Marc Drinkwater, all of Lewiston; and her sister, Marla Eaves of Charleston, S.C.

She was predeceased by her father.
