Why is it that the toll on the Maine Turnpike to travel from Lewiston to Portland is $1.75 each way, plus $1 to get back on in Portland, for a total of $4.50, while Route 295 from Portland to Augusta is a free ride? That would be more than 100 miles round trip.

Doesn’t that look like Lewiston is getting overcharged?

Another gripe I have — when will the building on Main Street by the canal be upgraded to look decent. It surely doesn’t help the area on such a heavily traveled road.
