TURNER — Elliot Wiegman of Leeds, a senior at Leavitt Area High School, has been selected to receive the 2011 Principal’s Award, Principal Eben Shaw announced.
The award, sponsored by the Maine Principal’s Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.
“Throughout his time here at Leavitt, Elliot has distinguished himself in the classroom and as a leader in the school and community. His work in the National Honor Society and as an Eagle Scout make Elliot an excellent role model for students in our district and an excellent representative of Leavitt Area High School. Elliot very deserving of this award,” said Shaw.
Wiegman and Shaw will attend an Honors Luncheon at the Spectacular Event Center in Bangor on Saturday, April 2.
