Art Pulse Cooperative Gallery is having an extended opening reception for Ray Fannin Jr., from 6 to 9 p.m., Friday, April 1 at its 178 Lisbon St., Lewiston, location. Fannin has had a love of drawing, painting and photography since he was a child. A visit to his home reveals walls of works from the greats in modern art, and a bookshelf overflowing with historic accounts of their lives. Mondrian, Picasso, Munch, and Pollack, to name a few, have been studied and enjoyed. Ray has spent decades immersing himself in the visual arts because he loves to experiment, practice and share his discoveries. With over 200 paintings and hundreds of photos to his credit, Ray’s solo show exhibits over 60 pieces and touches on many levels. This is a true showcase of one man’s life-long happiness with art. This exhibit is available to view from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday nights from April 1 to 22.
