Free supper

JAY — A free public supper will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 148 Main St. Donations will be accepted, but are not required.

The menu will include an Easter ham dinner with soup, salad, bread, veggies and desserts. Doors will open at noon to help people stay warm and to socialize. To use the elevator, go in the back door, push and hold the buzzer and someone will help.

Supplies are still needed and volunteer help would be appreciated. For more information, call 779-6951.

Monthly lunch

FARMINGTON — Old South First Congregational Church will serve its monthly free community luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 9. The menu includes ham, mashed sweet potatoes, peas and pie.

Delivery service will be available in the Farmington area. Call the church office at 778-0424 during the week or the church kitchen at 778-4438 on the morning of the luncheon to have a meal delivered.

College workshops

WILTON — The Maine Educational Opportunity Center will host free workshops for adults 19 and over titled “Essentials of College Planning” at the following times and locations:

Wilton Career Center, 865 US Rte. 2E, on Thursday, April 14, at 10 a.m.

Skowhegan Career Center, 98 North Ave., Suite 20, on Thursday, April 28, at 10 a.m.

The interactive workshop outlines the four steps in the college process: admission, financial aid, career planning and study skills. Preregistration is required.
