AUBURN — Comedians from around New England will team up on Saturday, April 8, at Lost Valley for a Stand-Up Comedy All-Stars Show to benefit the Ben Hayes Support Fund. A longtime resident of the Twin Cities, Hayes, who is married and has one child, suffered a spinal cord injury in an accident in December 2007.

Featured performers include Ryan Waning, a Portland Comedy Connection favorite who has performed on some of the best stages in the business, including New York’s Gotham Comedy Club, COMIX NYC, and recently was the featured performer at Boston’s Orpheum Theater alongside Comedy Central’s Vannesa Hollingshead.

Lue Avent, who was a finalist in New England’s Funniest Comic Contest at Foxwoods and a frequent opener on the Bob Marley Comedy Tour. And Ray Harrington, who has won both Portland’s Funniest Professional and Catch a Rising Star’s Catch a New Rising Star contest. He released his first CD “Audio HaHa” last year.

Some unannounced guests also will be stopping by to share in the laughs.

“I went to Edward Little with Ben,” said Waning. “We graduated together in ’96. Being able to help him out by bringing a few friends to Lost Valley and telling a few jokes is an awesome feeling. I’m sure if the roles were reversed he would do the same thing. He’s a great guy.”

The doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door.
