LEWISTON — Funeral services for Fernand P. Racine Sr. were held Saturday at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul following prayers at the Fortin Group Funeral Home. The Rev. Nathan March officiated. The scripture reading was offered by Gary Ashline, the prayer of the faithful was read by David Pearce, the offertory gifts were brought to the altar by Ethan and Dylan Pearce and the eulogy was provided by Chad Ashline.

Pallbearers were Robert, Chris and Jeff Pearce, Derek Racine and Chad and Brad Ashline. The honorary bearers were Mike and Fern Racine, sons of the deceased. Committal prayers with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta, with Deacon Dean Lachance officiating.
