LEWISTON — Colleen Rose Baird, 65, of Mechanic Falls, died Monday, April 4, at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Derby, Conn., July 6, 1945, the daughter of Francis James Lenahan and Josephine Rose Migani. She attended schools in Mechanic Falls and Lewiston. Colleen married Michael Baird on Feb. 23, 1963, in Mechanic Falls.

She owned and operated her cosmetology business in Mechanic Falls for more than 35 years. She enjoyed working with all her customers, many of whom have been with her since starting the business. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her passion was golf and she looked forward each spring to seeing her many friends on the course. She also enjoyed spending time at camp at Moosehead Lake.

Colleen is survived by her husband, Michael; her daughters, Stephanie Baird of South Portland and Theresa Hewitt of Mechanic Falls; her son-in-law, Kenneth Hewitt and her granddaughters, Marlo and Alex Hewitt; her sisters, Joanne Cooper of Gardiner and Patricia Vincent of Poland; and her brothers, Charles of Plymouth, N.H., and Frances of Mechanic Falls.

She was predeceased by her parents.
