PARIS — The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College will offer Introduction to Adobe Photoshop for PC’s. The four-part series will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays, May 5 to 26, at the Western Maine Community College Center in South Paris. The cost of $135 includes a Photoshop® CS5 Quickguide and materials.
Adobe® Photoshop® is an image-editing software used by amateur and professional photographers as well as graphic designers. Participants will learn how to use various features of Adobe Photoshop from the ground up.
The class will not cover elements versions or Mac functions. There are no prerequisites but all students will need to bring a laptop or notebook PC with any of the following versions of Adobe Photoshop®: CS2, CS3, CS4 or CS5.
The instructor will be Trish Logan, co-owner of L&H Photography, LLC, of Western Maine. Logan has experience with Photoshop® training and attended a 2010 Photoshop World’s week-long training program in Las Vegas.
Logan has worked as a newspaper photographer and is a member of the Professional Photographers of America, Wedding and Portrait Photographers International, National Association of Photoshop Professionals and the Maine Professional Photographer’s Association where she won five awards at the 2011 print competition
