LEWISTON — The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing at Central Maine Medical Center is offering a free healthy eating workshop for cancer patients, survivors and caregivers. “Eat Well to Prevent and Treat Cancer” will take place from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, at CMMC, 12 High St., conference room I.
Presenter Judy Donnelly, RD, LD, from Nutrition Works, LLC, will discuss foods and nutrients that should be a part of a diet. She will share practical tips and recipes that will help incorporate an arsenal of cancer fighting foods into the everyday diet.
Donnelly is a registered and licensed dietitian and has been in practice for 25 years. She graduated from the University of Maine and Medical College of Virginia dietetic internship program and consults at Nutrition Works, LLC in Portland. She also meets with students and staff at Bates College.
