DEAR SUN SPOTS: It is time to join us at Governors Restaurant (1185 Lisbon St., Lewiston,753-073) for our third annual campaign to support the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society during April, Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month (details at http://tinyurl.com/3boug62).

On Patriot’s Day, April 18, dine with us from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and 10 percent of your purchases and 10 percent of the server’s tips will go directly to GAHS to help animals in need locally.

Throughout April, Governors will be collecting donated supplies, such as animal food, pet toys, blankets, towels, cleaning and office supplies, to help the GAHS operate. In return for a donation, we will enter you into a drawing for a $25 Governors’ gift card.

We will also have a variety of GAHS T-shirts, sweatshirts and hats available for sale, with the whole purchase price going to the GAHS.

Please help us to have another successful campaign, to help them help the animals. — Matthew Agren, docagren@aol.com
