FARMINGTON — Lobo and Lana are Persian/Himalayan mix cats waiting at the Franklin County Animal Shelter for a good home.

Lobo was shaved because his long hair was matted. Lana is sweet but a little shy. Both are great with other cats and are tolerant of dogs, staff said. They are beautiful cats with kind demeanors, they added.

New dogs at the shelter include a husky from Jay, pit mix from Starks and Lab mix from Jay.

Shelter staff reports they had a successful benefit dinner on April 2 due to local businesses and individuals.
