LEWISTON — Funeral services were held Wednesday for John E. Zayac Sr. at Holy Family Church, following prayers at the Fortin Group Funeral Home. Monsignor Marc B. Caron officiated. The scripture reading was done by Nancy Tremblay, the prayer of the faithful was read by Tony Fortin and the offertory gifts were presented at the altar by Roland and Micheline Fortin. Words of remembrance were shared by Bambi Zayac and Heide Kelley, who spoke for her brother, Nick Begin, who was unable to attend. Military honors were provided by the Maine Funeral Honors Program at the church. Bearers were Paul and Ryan Begin, Matthew Martin, Neil and Arnold Austin and Joe Michaud.
