LEWISTON — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Claire B. Landry was celebrated Friday by the Rev. Nathan March at Holy Cross Church of the Prince of Peace Parish. At the beginning of Mass, Claire’s children, Ronald Boisvert, Connie Levesque and Debra Elliott draped their Mother’s casket with the Baptismal pall that signifies Claire’s rebirth into a new spiritual life with God. During the Mass, Claire’s granddaughters, Nicole Bingelis and Tiffany Boisvert proclaimed both the Old and New Testament readings. Claire’s grandson, Josh Elliott recited the prayer of the faithful. The offertory gifts were brought to the altar by Claire’s daughter-in-law, Lisa Boisvert, and Claire’s son-in-law, Roland Levesque. At the conclusion of Mass, Claire’s granddaughter, Nicole Bingelis recited a poem in honor of her grandmother, and words of remembrance were shared by granddaughter, Karyn Levesque. Also sharing words of remembrance were Claire’s children, Connie Levesque, Debra Elliott, and Ron Boisvert. Following a procession to St. Peter’s Cemetery, Nicole Bingelis sang, “How Great Thou Art.”after which Father March concluded with committal prayers. Pallbearers were Mason and Tiffany Boisvert, Karyn Levesque, Nicole Bingelis, Jamie Bowker and Josh Elliott. At the conclusion of services, all were invited to a reception of fellowship at the Chic-A-Dee Restaurant in Lewiston. Arrangements by Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home.
