LISBON — Police Detective Bill Tapley arrested a 29-year-old Gardiner man, Samuel Jordan, early Friday night in connection with a forced-entry burglary at a home on outer Main Street in Lisbon Falls in January 2010, in which electronics and jewelry were taken.
During the course of the investigation, DNA evidence was found at the scene, Tapley said. It was sent to the Maine State Police Crime Lab in Augusta and upon further investigation was found to be a match with Jordan, who, as a convicted felon was required to give his DNA sample, which is entered in a database.
Detective Tapley, accompanied by Gardiner police, arrested Jordan in that town at 6:30 p.m. Friday on an Androscoggin County warrant charging burglary and theft.
Jordan was taken to the Kennebec County Jail where he was being held on $15,000 cash bail Friday night.
