FARMINGTON — Local residents may participate in a downtown yard sale at no cost.

The sale, sponsored by the Farmington Downtown Association, takes place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 23, in the District Court parking lot on Main Street. The rain date is April 30.

Space for one table per person, business or organization will be available, but participants must bring their own table. Preregistration is not required, the association’s Sue Jones said.

Downtown businesses will also have yard sale-type tables in front of their businesses. Refreshments will be available.

Jones said she’s hoping performers will want to join the festivities.
