AUBURN — Earline E. “Beanie” Bryant, 82, of Poland, died Monday, April 11, at the Hospice House, after a long illness.
She was born in Rumney Depot, N.H., Aug. 13, 1928, to Morris and Hazel Bean. She had 10 siblings. Earline graduated from Leavitt Institute in Turner.
On Feb. 4, 1948, she married Alton Bryant and together they raised their six children in Danville. He predeceased her in 1976.
She was a hard-working woman, who was a homemaker during the day and waitress at night. She also worked as a cook in the Auburn schools. She loved gardening and being with her family.
In 1990, she moved to Sebastian, Fla., and returned to Maine in 2001 to be near family.
She is survived by five children, Stephen Bryant and wife, Sharon, of Auburn, Sonja Burleigh and husband, Albert, of Houlton, Tonya Daigneault of Poland, Wayne Bryant and wife, Beth, of Auburn and Jeffrey Bryant and wife, Cathy, of Bristol, Tenn.; 17 grandchildren, Shawn Bryant and wife, Ellen, Stephanie Doucette and husband, Phil, Ross Bryant and wife, Lindsey, Zachary Bryant and wife, Tara, Chris Burleigh and wife, Pattie, Kevin Burleigh, Matthew Burleigh and wife, Debra, Thomas Caron and wife, Danielle, Jason Daigneault and Shannon Marquis, Emily Bryant, Alex Bryant, Nathan Bryant, Nickolas Bryant and Jordan Bryant, Tony Murphy and wife, Sarah, Rebecca Partridge and husband, Allan and Amanda Murphy; 15 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Irene Romano and Marguerite Boutwell, both of Florida.
Earline was predeceased by her husband of 28 years; one son, Barry; daughter-in-law, Linda Bryant; son-in-law, Michael Daigneault; and eight siblings.
