FARMINGTON — Funeral services for Edith L. McCleery were held Saturday at the Wiles Remembrance Center with the Rev. Stan Wheeler, officiating. The Rev. Wheeler offered an opening prayer, with Tricia McCleery Watson reading “The House by the Side of the Road.” Craig Hutchinson and Louise McCleery offered the vocal selection of “In The Garden.” Bob Luce offered a reading written by Louise McCleery entitled “The Farm.” Long-time family friend and Farmington firefighter, S. Clyde Ross, offered personal words of remembrance of Edith. Craig Hutchinson then sang “Old Time Living,” which was followed by scripture readings of Mark 12:28-31 and First Corinthians 13, which led into the Rev. Wheeler’s word of reflection “The Greatest of These is Love.” A closing prayer was read before the benediction and the service closed with Edith’s benediction to those in attendance of the vocal hymn, “God Be With You, Till We Meet Again.” A reception was held at the center following the services. Interment will be later in the spring at Riverside Cemetery in Farmington.
