RUMFORD — The Rumford Association for the Advancement of the Performing Arts will present  its 14th annual dinner theater on Friday and Saturday, April 29-30, at the Eagles Hall. The evening will consist of three short one-act plays, a miniconcert by the RAAPA Chorus and a buffet dinner.

The cost per person is $30, which includes the buffet, beverage, dessert, tax and gratuity. There will be a cash bar for soft and alcoholic drinks.

The first play is “The Revenge of the Red Feather Ladies,” a takeoff on the Red Hat organization. Six women (played by Nancy Demings, Martha Hanington, Mary Hickey, Debbie Moon, Anita Murphy and Connie Venskus) meet at a tearoom at the request of the Prime Plume (Nancy) because she has some important news. Playing the waitress is Gail Parent.

Following the play, the buffet featuring baked ham, lasagna, roast pork, vegetables, bread, salad and a brownie sundae, will be served.

The second play, “Murder at the Grey’s Hound Mansion,” has a cast of zany characters all of whom are awaiting the reading of Earl Grey’s will. Among them are a conceited butler/secretary (Wayne Landry), an eccentric cousin (Demings), an arthritic housekeeper (Martha Hanington), personal trainer (Steve Borstelmann), a dog trainer Hickey), the not-too-bright alleged fiancee ofthe late Earl Grey (Moon), Earl’s hound trainer (Judy Kuhn) and a detective (Jim Robertson.)

The choral revue, directed by Kuhn and accompanied by Gail Dorr, will perform several numbers, including “Over the Rainbow,” “Fame” and “Sweet Caroline.’ Joining  singers for “And All That Jazz” will be dancers Debbie Brown, Sue Everett and Christine Murphy with choreography and direction by Connie Porter.

Ending the evening will be “Fishing Hat,” starring Gail Parent and Jim Robertson as Ethel and Albert.
