The Maine Public Broadcasting Network

to Carry Live BBC Coverage of Royal Wedding

LEWISTON — Through an exclusive arrangement with the BBC, MPBN will broadcast full live coverage of the royal wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton, beginning at 3 a.m. on Friday, April 29th.

“We have a long history of sharing programming with the BBC. Their World News coverage has been a well-received addition to our news and public affairs lineup on both television and radio,” said MPBN president Jim Dowe. “Furthermore, the British comedies and dramas we air weekly have been among our most watched programs for decades. Other media outlets will, of course, be covering the Royal Wedding, but only MPBN will broadcast the official coverage from the BBC.”

MPBN Television’s coverage is expected to last 5 1/2 hours.

The entire program will be rebroadcast from 6:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 30 . For more information, visit MPBN.NET.
