AUBURN – Sheila J. Harlow, 60, a longtime resident of Livermore, passed away Friday, April 15, at Hospice House of Androscoggin in Auburn, with her loving family by her side.
She was born April 18, 1950 in Farmington, the daughter of Oscar and Mary (Langlin) Wilkins. Sheila was a graduate of the Leavitt Institute in Turner. In July of 1969 at the Jay Baptist Church, she married Gary Harlow; they later divorced.
She worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years, serving as Canton Postmaster for the past 20 years before retiring in 2005. Sheila was a member of the NAPUS Union. She served as Treasurer for the Livermore Public Library, and worked diligently applying and receiving grants for the betterment of the library. Sheila was an avid reader, and also enjoyed working on genealogy. Above all else, Sheila loved the time she spent with her family, she was a loving and devoted, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Steven Harlow of Livermore and Michael Harlow and his wife Renee of Bangor and his three boys, Alex, Kyle and Tyler; her former daughter-in-law, Alicia Harlow of Bradford; her brother, Mark Wilkins; nieces, Kelsey and Karly Wilkins; uncles, Bernard Langlin and his wife Jane, and Jake Enos all of Livermore; her aunt, Barbara Green of Turner; longtime companion, Stuart Marshall of Livermore; and many cousins and friends.
