In a generic looking non descript cape on outer Lisbon Road in Lewiston sits a business that not only helps mold the steps of people with foot and ankle problems, but builds new limbs for many clients from scratch.  Unlike the mass produced products available online, Sound Limb Orthotics and Prosthetics takes the time to make sure thier clients get a perfect fit, often making one of a kind creations from thier input.  “Every person has a different shape and need.  One size fits all will work, but might not be very comfortable.”  says Glen DeCarteret, C.P., one of the half dozen employess that make up the staff that has been in business for over two decades.  Using tried and true methods and introducting modern technology, the process has evolved, creating more opportunities and better comfort for some of the problems facing a growing population of people needing prosthetics and orthotics.
