Students and faculty from the art and religion departments at St. Dominic Academy collaborated during this time of Lent to produce a display meant to make Christ’s Paschal Mystery more immediate and real in each student’s life. Once the preliminary brainstorming of the design was complete, it was presented to Mr. Stephen Amoroso and his art students to bring the design to life. Aaron Schmitz of Sabattus and Reed Allen of Lewiston built and painted the large cross. Charlotte Gaylord of Auburn, a senior and AP art student, pictured at left with Taylor Tarr of Lewiston, also a senior and art student, worked with Mrs. Suzanne Olsen of the religion department to hang the background and Stations of the Cross. The display uses fabric, rope, vines, spikes and rocks along with the poster to add realism to the holy event progressively followed along the pictured Stations of the Cross.
