Having lived on this Earth for 81 years, I have formed some opinions. One is that politicians’ promises have the same value as Confederate currency.

Gov. Paul LePage promised to be for the people and be transparent in his actions. He then fired the longtime people’s best friend, Dr. Dora Anne Mills, and refused to give a reason.

So much for promises.

So much for transparency.

Regarding the history of the mural at the Labor Department: Labor is people; business interests are people-eaters.
