JAY — Six residents are running unopposed on Tuesday for six terms on the new Regional School Unit 73 school board. The 13-member board will oversee a consolidated school district for Jay, Livermore and Livermore Falls beginning July 1.

Voting hours on the Jay board candidates will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 19 at the Jay town office. Residents from Livermore Falls will be voting the same day between the hours of 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. at their respective town office. Livermore voters will have a chance to vote from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Livermore town office.

Jay residents seeking election are Mike Morrell, Darcie Comstock, Vicki McLeod, Mary Redmond-Luce, Dan DiPompo and Tammy Dwinal-Shufelt. Comstock, Redmond-Luce, DiPompo and Dwinal-Shufelt are currently on the Jay School Committee.

Running for election to the board from Livermore Falls for four seats are six candidates: Carmen Cullen, Tammy Castonguay Frost, Jackie Knight, Denise Rodzen, Katrina Roy and Ann Souther. Rodzen, Knight and Souther are currently RSU 36 school directors.

Seeking election to three seats in Livermore are four candidates: Diane Gould, Tim Madden, Ashley O’Brien and Cindy Young,
