Sun Media Group, the Sun Journal’s parent company, launched an electronic edition of the newspaper in an app for the iPad last Thursday. In order to download the app, search for “Lewiston Sun Journal” on iTunes, under the news category. For a short time, the Sun Journal is providing this service at no cost. After June 1, subscriptions may be purchased in the app in 4-week ($6.95), 12-week ($19.95), half-year ($36.95) or one-year ($69.95) increments.
Currently the app is only available on the iPad. An iPhone and iPod Touch app is in the works and anticipated to become available in the first week of May. A mobile version of the e-Edition website is also available.
For more information about the Sun Journal’s iPad app or e-Edition, please contact Mike Theriault at (207) 689-2861.
