FARMINGTON — The community is invited to a one-hour Good Friday service starting at noon Friday at Henderson Memorial Baptist Church on Academy Street.

The church is hosting the Farmington Area Ecumenical Ministry annual service.

The service will tell the story of Jesus’ crucifixion through images of The Stations of the Cross, provided by St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. The service will be led by clergy and lay leaders from the FAEM churches. Brief meditations will be offered, followed by silence and bidding prayers.

On Easter morning, the annual community Easter Sunrise service begins at sunrise, at approximately 5:42 a.m., on Voter Hill.  All are welcome to attend.

Hot coffee and refreshments will follow at the home of Fred and Denise Brittain on Voter Hill.
