Deb Pontbriand is absolutely right (April 16). City government has ruined New Auburn.

I used to live there, more than 60 years.

In addition to the new sidewalk and lampposts, there are stop signs at the intersection of Pownal Road and Harmons Corner Road. Some of our city people should start using common sense instead of all their education.

Wake up, new Auburn. That is not beautifying the city.
