LEWISTON — The Kentucky Derby is this year’s theme as the Androscoggin Chamber of Commerce gears up for its annual Not Your Normal Formal, one of its biggest and most lively fundraisers.

Taking place Friday night, May 6, at the Ramada Conference Center, the event features derby- and Southern-themed food and drink, musical entertainment, contests, drawings, prizes, costumes (suggested but not required), surprises and more than 100 auction items up for bid worth more than $35,000.

The items, donated by chamber members, include vacation trips and dinner parties, along with an array of other offerings.

The event at 490 Pleasant St. will start at 5:30 p.m. with socializing, a silent auction, cash bar and hors d’oeuvres, with a live auction starting at 8 p.m. and dancing at 9 p.m.

A limited number of tickets are still available. General admission is $100 for two seats; corporate hospitality table sponsors are $700 for 10 seats.
