FALMOUTH — June S. Margolin, 91, formerly of Auburn, died Sunday April 24, at Sedgewood Commons, with her family at her side.

She was born in Auburn on June 7, 1919, a daughter of the late Soloman and Leah (Colp) Meltzer. She was educated in local schools and graduated from Edward Little High School, Class of 1937. She then went on to graduate from Leland Powers in Boston.

She married Joseph N. Margolin in 1944. He predeceased her in 1994. She owned and operated Margo’s Apparel in Norway for many years.

She was a member of Beth Abraham Synagogue, where she was a past president of The Sisterhood and was very active in Hadassah. June was an avid card player and enjoyed golf and her 2-mile walk every day.

She leaves two daughters, Bonnie Faiman and her husband, Larry, of Auburn and Sharon Margolin of Old Orchard Beach; a sister, Sarah Smalley of Sun City, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Casey Faiman and his wife, Karen, of Lawrenceville, N.J., and Margo Lynn Meyer and her husband, Eric, of Lancaster, Mass.; four great-grandchildren, Brody Meyer, Joseph Faiman, Baylie Meyer and Elliot Faiman; and many nieces and nephews.
