RUMFORD — Funeral services for Doris L. Putnam were conducted Wednesday at the Meader and Son Funeral Home, Rumford, with the Rev. Justin Thacker officiating. Music selections were: “Day by Day” and special music was sung by Sammie Angel, who was also on the keyboard for “Amazing Grace,” “Softly and Tenderly” and “The Ballard of the Front Porch.”

The eulogy was given by her daughter, Elizabeth Putnam. Words of remembrance were given by friend, Mary Thacker, who also read a poem, brother, Stuart Locke, friend, Rob Cameron, niece, Doris Weinbaum, granddaughter, Julie Sexton and friend, Sammie Angel. Bearers were Jeremy Guimond, John Sexton, Steve Putnam, Francis Putnam, Doug Guerette and Dan Sexton. A reception followed at the family’s residence in South Rumford. Interment will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, at the Sunnyside Cemetery, Rumford, led by Pastor Carol Stevens.
