LEWISTON — Rita J. Sumner, 71, of Lisbon, passed away on April 22 at Marshwood Center in Lewiston.

She was born in Stockton, Calif., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T.H. Cook of Lincoln, Calif. Rita worked many years at Marden’s in Lewiston in the fabric and craft department.

She had a great eye for prints and color. She was a very talented artist and seamstress.

She is survived by four children: Daniel Sumner, of Plainville, Mass., Robert Sumner, of Bloomfield, Conn., Kenneth Sumner, of Mechanic Falls and Patricia Sumner, of Bloomfield, Conn.

Her family would like to thank the staff at Marshwood Center for caring for Rita.
