Buckfield 7, Richmond 2
BUCKFIELD — Dalton Hart scattered six hits and drew ample run support as Buckfield hustled to a 7-2 victory over Richmond in a EWC baseball tilt Thursday. 

Trevor Averill led a trio of players for Buckfield with two hits, which included Hart Cody White. 

Ben Carver went the distance for Richmond and suffered the loss.

Lacrosse

Maranacook 9, Oak Hill 2
READFIELD — Mitch Bessette registered a hat trick to lead Maranacook to a 9-2 victory over Oak Hill in KVAC boy’s lacrosse action Thursday.

Luke Emery chipped in for the Black Bears (3-0) with two goals, while single tallies by Dan Condon, Toby Smith, Jesse Evans and Kyle Evans completed the scoring. Tyler Lang made four saves to notch the win.

The Raiders (0-3) receive both goals from Brandon Potvin, while Will Aronson turned aside 12 shots in the cage.

Softball

Richmond 4, Buckfield 2
BUCKFIELD — Leandra Martin worked in relief of starter Jamie Plummer and effectively shut down the Buckfield offense, allowing Richmond to comne away with a 4-2 win in EWC softball action Thursday.

The Bucks (0-1) tied the game at 2-2 with a two-run third frame. The Bobcats (4-0) went ahead on a dropped ball in the fourth, then adden an insurance run in the final frame.

Danielle Patrie led the Bucks (0-1) with a pair of hits, while Heather Clavet suffered the loss.
