Macie Fletcher, 8, of Wales is all smiles after she won a hand-made dress for her doll “Alex” during the Mother/Daughter/Doll Wonderland Tea at the Woman’s Literary Union in Auburn on Saturday. Alice (Paige Weber), the Queen of Hearts (Kathy Lawrence), the Mad Hatter (Amey Feeley) the White Rabbit (Flo Annear) and a host of volunteers entertained young ladies during a morning of tea, cookies and shopping at the doll boutique during the 11th annual event. The popular event raises money to help maintain the historic Horatio G. Foss Mansion on Elm Street and for college scholarships. Ella Hamilton, 5, has $1 left after shopping at the doll boutique. Members of the Woman’s Literary Union make doll dresses and accessories for the children to purchase. Each little girl is given a one dollar coupon to shop with and any additional money made is used to maintain the historic Horatio G. Foss Mansion on Elm Street and for college scholarships.
