Redstone benefit

RUMFORD — A spaghetti dinner benefit for Pam Thompson Redstone will be held from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 6, at Black Mountain of Maine. Cost is $5 per person at the door.

There will be a dance with music by Hooligan from 8 p.m. to midnight. Tickets are $10 per person, on sale in advance at Sand Turtles Salon in Mexico, Davis Florist and Bartash in Rumford.

Raffle tickets for a Sheryl Crow autographed guitar are available at All That Jazz, Sand Turtles and Bangor Savings Bank. Tickets for the guitar raffle are $5 each or 5 for $20. Winner will be announced at the dance.

Craft fair

RUMFORD — The spring craft fair will be held beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday May 7, at the Adult Activity Center, Hope Association, 85 Lincoln Ave. To purchase a table, contact Deb Averill at 364-4561.

Hope Association will be having their table of crafts and their cookie walk. Volunteers are needed to bake cookies. The cookies will need to be delivered by Saturday morning at the latest. Contact Deb to volunteer.

Seed day

RUMFORD — Rumford Grange Free Seed Day will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 7, at the Rumford Grange Hall, Route 2.

Bottle drive

RUMFORD — Abbie’s Avengers Relay Team will be holding a bottle drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 7. All bottle money goes to the American Cancer Society. Anyone wishing to donate bottles for the cause, call 364-6457 or donate at Waldo Street Redemption Center.

Carnation sale

RUMFORD — St. Timothy Circle #504, Daughters of Isabella are sponsoring the Maine Right to Life Mother’s Day carnation sale on Sunday, May 8. They will be sold for $1 each after each mass at the Parish of the Holy Savior in Rumford and at the Lady of Snow in Bethel.

Quilters meet

RUMFORD — Rumford Area Quilters will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 9, at the Rumford United Methodist Church, Linnell Street.

Donations accepted for Wrap A Smile, veterans, Newborns in Need and other organizations. Show and tell a favorite of the evening. All area quilters are invited. For more information, call 562-7050.
