WINDSOR, Vt. — Raymonde Helen Spencer, 76, of Lewiston, died peacefully Monday, May 2, at Cedar Hill Community Care Center.

She was born in Lewiston, Oct. 15, 1934, to Raymond and Marie Louise (Lafrance) Daignault. Mrs. Spencer attended St. Dominic High School. She was married to David Spencer at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Lewiston on Jan. 3, 1953. They were married for 52 years.

Mrs. Spencer was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Though her immediate family was small, she opened her heart and home to others and gave generously to people in times of need.

She was a manager at Twin City Shopping in Lewiston and worked at Valu-Plus. She loved playing cards and board games, doing crossword puzzles, collecting dolls, sewing and watching Patrick Swayze movies.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Spencer Thibodeau and her husband, Roger Thibodeau, of Charlestown, N.H.; granddaughter, Melissa Rouette and her husband, Daniel Rouette, of Riverside, R.I.; granddaughter, Jennifer Thibodeau of Franklin, Mass.; grandson, Nicholas Thibodeau and his wife, Tracee Sorenson Thibodeau, of Redlands, Calif.; and great-grandsons, Brayden and Cole Rouette and Noah and Oliver Thibodeau.

She was predeceased by her husband.
