FARMINGTON — Farmers’ markets around Franklin County are gearing up for the summer season. The final indoor market at the Grange Hall in West Farmington was held April 30. Area farmers — some new and many returning favorites — will again hold three outdoor markets in Farmington each week now through October, in addition to markets in New Sharon and Kingfield and the online farmers’ market, www.WesternMaineMarket.com.
Already underway are markets on Tuesdays 2-6 p.m. and Fridays 9 a.m.-2 p.m., both held next to the Better Living Center in the Narrow Gauge Cinema lot on Front Street, Farmington. For more information, contact Mitra Luick, Aloha Rainbow Farm, mitraluick@gmail.com.

Western Maine Market, Franklin County’s online farmers’ market, runs year-round and offers free delivery in downtown Farmington and Strong and a variety of pick-up locations. Local produce is also available at various individual farm stands, including David Pike’s Farm to You Market, next to Subway on routes 2 and 4 in Farmington, Monday-Saturday 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
