FARMINGTON — A spring craft fair takes place Saturday at the Farmington Fairgrounds to help raise money for Wilton’s 29th annual Blueberry Festival.

The event, formerly known as the Cabin Fever craft fair, will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Starbird Building on the fairgrounds. The Cabin Fever fair was previously held at Western Maine Expo on the Weld Road in Wilton.

About 40 crafters plan to be there but there’s still room for more, organizer Shannon Smith said. The building has room for 70 tables, she said.

Crafters from all over the state and New England will showcase their art including fabric designs, goat’s milk soap, wickless candles, jewelry, wood items and more.

Admission to the fair is free, she said.

Barnacle Bill’s Food Service will sell a variety of lunch and breakfast items. The Red Schoolhouse and Franklin County Agricultural museums will be open, she said.

Proceeds from the craft fair will support the annual Blueberry Festival planned for Aug. 5 and 6  this year. Along with blueberry pancakes, a parade and fireworks, this year Birdie Googins, aka the Marden’s Lady, will perform Friday night prior to a free concert featuring Debbie Myers and Tommy Thompson.
