AUBURN — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Emilien E. Morin Jr. was celebrated by the Rev. Paul Plante and con-celebrated by the Rev. Paul Marquis Tuesday, May 10, at St. Louis Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish. At the front of church, Emilien’s casket was draped with the a white burial pall which signifies Emilien’s baptism into a new spiritual life with God. During Mass the first reading was presented by Elizabeth Holland, a close friend of the Morin family. The second reading was presented by Emilen’s nephew and godson, Luke Jean. The Prayer of the Faithful was recited by Emilen’s godson, Eric Jean.The offertory gifts were brought to the altar by Emilien’s grandchildren, Kelsey, Ben, Jack and Madison Morin. Following a funeral procession which included Morin’s Excavation Dump Truck from church to St. Peter’s Cemetery in Jr’s honor, the Rev. Marquis recited committal prayers at the entombment at St. Peter’s Mausoleum. Pallearers were David Chapman, Jacob, Denis and David Dubois as well as Michael Holland, Brian Dubois and Brian Roy. At the conclusion of committal prayers, the U.S. Army Honor Detail played “taps” and presented our country’s flag to Emilien’s wife, Diane in recognition of her husband’s service in the Army National Guard during the Berlin Crisis. Arrangements were by Dillingham and Son Memorial Chapel and Tribute Center.
