NORWAY — Norway Savings Bank announces several recent officer promotions within the bank.

Cindy Hakala has been promoted to assistant vice president and South Paris branch manager. Hakala joined Norway Savings Bank in November 2006 as a teller in the Norway office and quickly transitioned to the customer relations supervisor in the Oxford In-Store branch in September 2007.

In January 2009, she accepted the position of branch manager for the South Paris office. Hakala is a very active member of the Oxford Hills community. She is currently serving as a director for the Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce and REACH, and is the vice president of Kiwanis. 

Anita Hamilton has been promoted to assistant vice president, commercial credit analyst.  Hamilton joined the bank in 2001 as a clerk/analyst.  In 2002, she became a full-time commercial credit analyst in the main office in Norway. During the past nine years, she has successfully completed various courses and seminars related to commercial lending, commercial credit analysis, commercial loan documentation, real estate appraisal review, and construction monitoring. Outside of work, Hamilton currently serves as a trustee for the Norway Historical Society.  

Irene Millett has been promoted to assistant vice president, senior commercial credit analyst.  Millett joined the bank in 1999 as a loan processing clerk. During the past 11 years, she has worked her way up through the commercial credit department, recently serving as assistant vice president, commercial credit analyst since 2007.

She has successfully completed courses and seminars related to commercial lending, commercial credit analysis, commercial loan documentation, and real estate appraisal reviews.  Millett currently serves as chairwoman of the Norway Board of Selectmen.

Tina Ruhland has been promoted to assistant vice president, junior commercial lender.  Ruhland originally joined the bank as a part-time teller in the Windham branch and was later promoted to customer service representative in the Naples branch.  In 2007, she was promoted to junior commercial lender in the Norway office.  She has become active in the Norway community, including providing extensive volunteer work at The Progress Center.

Chuck Williams has been promoted to vice president, finance and accounting. He joined Norway Savings Bank in February 2005 in the commercial lending department and transitioned to the finance department in 2007.

He graduated from Thomas College in 2002 with a bachelor of science degree in finance/economics. He is currently working toward the AIB Bank Financial Management Diploma through CFT. He is located at the operations center in Norway.

Pamela Veilleux has been promoted to assistant vice president, executive administration.  Since joining the bank in 2002, she has provided support to the board of directors and the executive management team.

Veilleux previously worked for the bank from 1988 to 1998. She has earned five CFT diplomas, including bank operations, general financial services, advanced financial services, consumer lending, and mortgage lending. She is working at the main office in Norway.
