AUBURN – Lionel J. Morin, 77, of 330 Lane Road, Greene, died on Saturday, May 14, at the Hospice House following a long illness with his loving family by his side.

He was born May 1, 1934, in Keegan, the son of Arthur and Mary Ann Morin.

Lionel was educated in local schools. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force at Loring Air Force base and the Army National Guard.

He married the former Pauline Vachon in Lewiston on Nov. 24, 1955.

Lionel enjoyed hunting, fishing, long drives up North. He loved to spend time with his family and really enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also played harmonica on the radio station WCOU for Al Ricker.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Pauline Morin of 55 years; daughter, Claudette Hood and her husband, Jeff, of North Turner; son, Paul Morin and his wife, Denise, of South Monmouth; grandchildren, Jeromy Hood and his wife, Jen, of Turner, Tiffany Hinkley and her husband, Rian, of New Sharon and Stacy Hood of Portland; great-grandchildren, Emma and Dylan Hinkley; his sons extended family; brothers, Percy Morin and Fernand Morin; sisters, Therisa Cyr, Margaret Courtemanch, Marie Dustin, Anita Roy and Rita Hodgkin.

He was predeceased by brothers, Tony, Normand, Adrian Morin; and sister, Jeannine Giugere.
