EXETER, N.H. — Alexander (Sasha) Scolnik-Brower, 16, and a second-year student at Phillips Andover Academy, is the winner of the Boston Symphony Orchestra concerto competition. He will perform a cello concerto in Symphony Hall in June with the BSO.
Sasha is the son of Michael Brower and Julie Scolnik, a Lewiston native who is a performing flutist in the Boston area and the artistic director of Andover Chamber Music. Sasha is the grandson of retired Justice Louis and retired Edward Little High School teacher, Paula Scolnik.
