ANDOVER —  From mines and dragons to mountain peaks, Andover  Elementary School students have a slate of activities planned.

On Friday, all 31 students journeyed to the Woodstock Elementary School to watch the  play “The Reluctant Dragon” performed by a troupe from the Theater at Monmouth.

Exploring underground treasures await fourth and fifth grade spelunkers as they visit the Bumpus Mine in Albany Township on Wednesday, May 25. The next day, they will hike to the summit of White Cap Mountain in East Andover, led by Principal Roger Sabin

On Thursday, June 9, the fifth grade class will embark upon a band tour of Woodstock and Crescent Park Elementary schools.

On June 14 , Mount Blue State Park in Weld will be the setting for the school’s end-of-the-year field trip.

The public hearing of the closing of the Andover Elementary School will be held on Wednesday, May 25  at the Andover Elementary School beginning at 7:00 p.m.
