WATERBORO, Maine (AP) — The York County Sheriff’s Department says a 34-year-old Maine man was killed when the vehicle on which he was working rolled onto him.

Deputies say Robert Bachelder of North Waterboro became pinned underneath his 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee while performing work on the vehicle Sunday.

The Portland Press Herald say rescue workers were alerted at 5:43 p.m. and found Bachelder unresponsive. They were unable to revive him and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
